Technology at La Primaria
La Primaria Elementary is proud to be a leader in using educational technology to enhance the teaching and learning process. All classrooms are equipped with three to five, multimedia-capable computers that are connected to the internet.
Our students use these computers daily to access Renaissance Place to take Accelerated Reader quizzes, practice math facts through Math Facts in a Flash, develop vocabulary using English in a Flash, and to practice fluency with Fluent Reader.
Additionally, each teacher has a multimedia cart with a laptop computer and LCD projector to create and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate video streaming, graphics, and virtual reality.
La Primaria also has a state-of-the-art computer lab. All classrooms visit the computer lab one to two times per week. Kindergarten and First grade students learn piano keyboarding skills using the Children's Music Journey. Second and Third grade students develop spatial temporal reasoning and advanced mathematics skills using the MIND Institute's ST Math program.
