Biography:

Adam Allison is a native of Paintsville Kentucky. In middle school, Adam performed with the Kentucky Opry, entertaining large audiences with comedy sketches and working alongside of acclaimed country musicians and performers. Adam also competed in the KESDA state speech and drama competition, winning state champion titles in elementary and high school.  Adam attended Johnson Central High School, where he was involved in BETA, football, FCA, theater, and swimming. He graduated from the Kentucky Governors School for the Arts Program, as well as the Appalachian Media institute, where his group received the, ‘Coming up Taller Award’ presented by the first lady of the United States. 

In college, Adam earned his bachelors degree while attending Point Park University, and Pittsburgh Filmmakers on a presidential scholarship where he studied theater, film production, and discovered his love of teaching.

Adam lived in Los Angeles, for ten years and was involved in numerous stage, film, and television networks and was featured in blockbuster films, episodic t.v shows, and worked on nationally acclaimed stage productions.  Working from coast to coast in the entertainment industry, he held various titles for the following productions: Michael Bay’s 'Transformers', C.S.I Miami, Greys Anatomy, Vanished, Rains, One Night Only, Leonardo Dicaprio and Tree Media's 11th Hour documentary, One Night Only, A Song Of Night and Day from the American Songbook with David Hyde Pierce and Victoria Clark, Star Wars Clone Wars series, History and Discovery Channel, Reading Rainbow, and James Cameron’s Avatar.

Adam obtained his masters in education from the University of the Cumberlands in 2014, and was accepted into Johnson Central High School’s Hall of Fame in 2016. He was highlighted on Lex 18 News, ’Making A Difference’ in 2017, as the director of McNabb's Living Poet Society. He was featured in Marvin Barlett’s ‘Spirit of the Bluegrass’ in 2018, and was selected to participate in Western Kentucky University’s Mountain Workshop in 2019. Adam was a recipient of Campbellsville University’s 34th annual Excellence in Teaching Award, for the 2019-2020 school year sponsored by the Earl Aaron and the Ward, Cundiff, and Aaron Memorial Fund.

In Adam’s 7th year working at McNabb, he teaches theater and mock trial, and is the musical director, mock trial head coach, and is an assistant football coach. Adam loves his job, colleagues, and students, and aims to help children become creative, dignified, and responsible during these challenging times.
