Lawrence County High School Boys’ Basketball Head Coach Pat Bridges has been chosen to coach the Boys’ South 4A/5A/6A All-Star Game as an All-Star Coach.
All-Star Coaches are chosen by the Mississippi High School Athletics Association and the Mississippi Association of Coaches. Coaches are selected based on their basketball knowledge, record, and the respect of their peers. They must have been a member of the MS Association of Coaches for a minimum of three years.
Bridges will coach in the 2022 MS Sports Medicine North/South All-Star games on March 19, 2022, with fellow All-Star Coach Brandon Jennings of Petal. The game will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the A.E. Wood Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi College.
Coach Bridges began his career in Jefferson Davis County, coaching for two years before coming to Lawrence County, where he has coached for 14 years. During this time, he has received many honors, including 2015 Daily Leader Coach of the Year, 2018 Division 7-4A Coach of the Year, and coach back to back district champion teams in 2018 and 2019.
Bridges and his wife of 17 years, Cassie, live in Silver Creek with their two daughters, Jordyn and Laicie. Jordyn is a senior and Laicie is a freshman at Lawrence County High School. Cassie works as the Principal of Rod Paige Middle School, and she and Pat both serve on the Board of Aldermen for Silver Creek.
