Georgia-Pacific Monticello recently donated $19,000 to the Lawrence County School District to support several education initiatives. The contribution will provide ongoing support of the Technical and Career Center, early childhood literacy efforts, scholarships for high school seniors, and other education efforts at the district.
“The Lawrence County School District is very appreciative of the ongoing support we receive from Georgia-Pacific Monticello,” Superintendent Dr. Titus Hines said. “This year’s donation will help to support several school-based instructional and PBIS initiatives. We are delighted to continue our partnership with Georgia-Pacific.”
“Georgia-Pacific Monticello is proud to support the Lawrence County School District,” GP Public Affairs Manager Luke Horton said. “Education is a priority for GP, and we know this investment into the school system will make a difference for both students and the community.”
