As a high school student you can take classes tuition free as Academic Enrichment.

Summer and Fall Registration opens on April 25th
Note: For students with approved accommodations from Sierra registration opens on April 22nd.
Sierra College Registration Preparation Workshops will be held on
April 3rd, 10th and 23rd and Registration Workshops on May 2nd and 8th during intervention in Room 201, the room to the right of the Library entrance, to prepare for registration or register, depending on the date.
These workshops are for seniors who have applied, have met with a Sierra Transition Counselor and have made an Ed Plan for the fall. Students will look at their Ed Plan and the Sierra Class Schedule to plan out their perfect schedule and back ups noting the specific classes they will register for when registration opens.

Sierra College Enrollment Steps for 2024-2025 Del Oro and Confluence Graduates
An Ed Plan with a Sierra Transition Counselor is required to register.
Kelly Chambers had available appointments through May 22nd, but is now full with
no more appointments available. Students will need to follow the above steps and when you get to Step 5 call Sierra Counseling to make an appointment with a counselor there. Their number is 916-660-7400.

April 1st is the tier one priority deadline to submit the FAFSA application and May 1st to be in the 2nd tier round of consideration for Two Years Free Tuition. TYFT may still be available then, but is not guaranteed. After May 1st, if you still haven't submitted the FAFSA, do so as soon as possible as Two Years Free funding from the State may still be available but is not guaranteed.

DACAmented students
U visa holders
TPS holders
Complete FAFSA if you identify with one of the following
US Citizen
Students in mix-status homes: Meaning the student is a US Citizen and parents are undocumented
U.S. permanent resident, with a Permanent Resident Card (formerly known as an Alien Registration Receipt Card or "Green Card")
Conditional permanent resident (I-551C)
Other eligible noncitizens with an Arrival-Departure Record (I-94) from the Department of Homeland Security showing any one of the following designations: "Refugee," "Asylum Granted," "Indefinite Parole," "Humanitarian Parole," or "Cuban-Haitian Entrant."
