Letter from our Principal:
Dear Ellis School Family,
My name is Doug Beach and I am very fortunate to be the principal at Ellis School. I welcome those of you who come to us new this year. You are most welcome and I look forward to meeting you and having you part of the Ellis School community.
I want you to know that I have long had a goal in my career to be an elementary school principal. I never dreamed it would come to pass at the school where I spent my childhood. I am a proud Ellis School Alumnus! I went to Mount Logan Middle School (Logan Junior High at the time) and Logan High School. I graduated from Utah State University and spent the early part of my career as a teacher in Cache County Schools. 25 years ago I came to Logan to become a school principal and have loved my job and the people with whom I worked every single year. I have been so blessed to work with many wonderful parents, students, teachers and administrators.
I am married to Jennifer (who teaches Kindergarten at Wilson Elementary School) and am the proud father of Garrison, Jackson, Addison, and Jayden. My best thing is being their husband and father.
I know many things have changed at Ellis School in the past 45 years, but a few things remain the same. I know that the teachers and staff at Ellis School love children and work very hard in their behalf, just like my own teachers did for me when I was a student. For these reasons and many others, I am honored, proud, and excited to be the principal at Ellis School.
