Millville Elementary School Community Council Minutes

MINUTES

Those in attendance: Brady Johnson, Gary Walker, Merilee Livingston, Cameron Falk, Darcy Ripplinger

• No Questions or concerns brought by members of the council.
• The council reviewed our current Trustlands Plan, its allocation and how the money is being spent. We also discussed the Millville was previously a Title One school and what that meant. We discussed that losing the funding with Title One limits our options in the Trustlands Plan because we need to be able to fund the salaries of our reading paraprofessionals.
• The council discussed trying a little harder to get the word out in the spring regarding free/reduced lunch. As that is the metric used by the federal government to determine Title One status. We discussed providing more information to families, specifically the income requirements. Perhaps people just don’t know that they qualify.
