The School Board of Levy County Ranks in Top 10% of School Districts for Commitment to Whole-Child Education.

The School Board of Levy County dedication to providing an evidence-informed education that prepares students for success in the real world has led it to earn the annual EVERFI Empowered Seal.

Now in its fourth year, the EVERFI Empowered Seal is a designation awarded to public school districts that have demonstrated an exemplary commitment to comprehensive education strategies on topics such as financial literacy, health, and careers. This is the first time that the School Board of Levy County has been awarded the Empowered Seal.

Science and Social Studies Instructional Materials Review

The Levy County School District is adopting new instructional materials for Science and Social Studies for use beginning in the 24-25 school year. It is the responsibility of the school district to provide adequate instructional materials for students to support their educational needs. The District Adoption Team, composed of teachers, administrators, district personnel, and parents, have evaluated all instruction materials in the following areas: content, accessibility, teacher planning, assessment, differentiated instruction, and technology. In addition to the previous opportunities for input held in October 2023, parents are invited to review the materials using the links provided in the attached document and provide public comments at the Levy County School Board Meeting on January 23, 2024 @9:00am at the district office.
