    Academy of Agriculture

    Students learn about the local, state, and global impact of agriculture. Students will also learn about soil science, plant science, as well as animal science. As well as a variety of sciences, students learn professional skills and about careers in agriscience. The content includes but is not limited to instruction in animal and plant production and processing; agriculture marketing; agricultural mechanics; employability skills; mathematics; basic science; biological sciences; communications; and human-relations skills. The program provides opportunities for competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources career cluster.

  • Pratical Nursing

    Practical Nursing Program

    It is designed to prepare the student for licensure as a practical nurse. Chapter 464 (Nurse Practice Act) of the Florida Statutes defines the practice of practical nursing as the “performance of selected acts, including the administration of treatments and medications, in the care of the ill, injured, or infirm and promotion of wellness, maintenance of health, and prevention of illness of others under the direction of a registered nurse, a licensed physician, a licensed osteopathic physician, a licensed pediatrician, or a licensed dentist. Students can earn their CNA after completion of the program. Only open to students entering the 11th grade.

    The Academy of Aviation (AOA)

    The Academy of Aviation (AOA) has been established to teach the fundamental concepts and approaches of aerospace engineering, historical developments in aviation and aviation regulations and safety.  Students will have the opportunity to use and operate Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS’s) with an emphasis on operations.  Coursework prepares students to integrate robotic technology into hardware and software regimes of unmanned aviation.  Students have the opportunity to earn multiple dual enrollment college credits in the area of aviation.

    The Academy of Computer Integrated Manufacturing (AOCIM) provides students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of the applications of engineering and its effect upon society. The AOCIM mission is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of the applications of engineering and its effect upon society. To accomplish this goal, Computer Integrated Manufacturing has a hands-on project driven curriculum that focuses on the fundamental concepts of engineering design analysis, robotics and the production processes and systems used in the automated manufacturing industry.

    Welding Technology Program

    The Welding Technology program is designed to prepare students for employment or advanced training in a variety of occupations in the welding industry. This program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the Welding industry; planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues. and health, safety, and environmental issues.
