Option Eliminator Default

Students will now see the option eliminator tool by default in AP Classroom, just as they do in Bluebook. This update supports skill-building by encouraging students to actively rule out wrong answers, a habit that can help them work more efficiently during an exam. If students don’t want to use this feature, they can turn it off by clicking on the blue ABC icon.

Calculator Updates

When students work on assignments in AP Classroom, they’ll now see the type of calculator permitted for their specific AP Exam, including graphic and scientific versions. This matches the calculator settings in Bluebook™, ensuring consistency in both practice and use during the exam. Any work entered—whether it’s calculations or graphs—will remain saved as students navigate from one question to another, allowing them to refer back to their work throughout the assessment.

AP students should be receiving their join codes from their AP teacher and joining AP Classroom. This registers the student for their exam.
