Upcoming Trainings
September 18th Learning Walk Training (make-up day) 8:30-3:30 at the Howell Center: mandatory training for all math/science Learning Walk participants. Must have turned in an application to Andrea Goddard or Teresa Rockwood by September 12th. We have a few slots open for math and about 10 slots open for science. Please turn in your signed application via fax or email rather than sending it through school mail. If you need an application contact Andrea Goddard (goddarda@leonschools.net).
September 18th Go Math Training: 3:30-5:30 at Hartsfield Elementary.
Other News:
Pacing Guides: Updated Pacing Guides have been sent to administrators as well as last year's primary and intermediate contacts for each site. They can also be found on the Elementary Sharepoint site. Please note there are some changes to this year's guide. Specific lessons and in some grade levels entire chapters are being omitted and other recommended resources should be used in their place.
Elementary Math Baseline: If you are interested in giving a math baseline, the recommendation is to utilize the Beginning of the Year test found on Thinkcentral.
Elementary Science
Please welcome Teresa Rockwood as our new K-12 Science Developer. For the next few weeks we will continue to work together during this transition period.
