Sports Physicals Required to Practice: READ

All runners (returning or new) must have a valid sports physical on file with the nurse's office in order to practice. Sports physicals are valid for 13 months from the date of the physical. Therefore some runners may be able to start practicing but may require a new one by the end of the season. All sixth graders must have a sports physical to enroll in school but the window to turn those in is by October. Therefore there may be some 6th graders that can't practice until those physicals are turned in.

Either way, please tend to this matter as soon as possible. Training is sequential and deliberate, so every day counts. If there's a runner that must wait for an appointment, we can share some workouts to do on their own time if they choose. There are also Walgreen's and CVS "Minute Clinics" that can provide a sports physical (some are drop-in, some require appointments), so you can go that route though they don't take insurance.

We'll do our best as a staff (coaches, athletic directors, and nurses) to clarify expiration dates to students on existing physicals, but it's best if everyone gets a new sports physical on file asap. Holler at me with any questions. Thank you for tending to this so we can get the season rolling. Cheers!
