]]> There’s nothing better than a good science experiment…except when you add it to your favorite book! We will read about Monarch migration and how to track their migration, we will also raise our own butterfly or monarch and set them free. Boom Chicka Boom, can you build a tree that holds the whole alphabet? Come explore the world of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and math) by building and creating straight out of your very favorite picture book! Will the big bad wolf be able to blow your house down? Or will you find the perfect design to hold up to a Magic Treehouse Terrible Twister?! Perhaps recreating Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone’s Chess game combining analytical reading while also learning to play the fun game of Chess–then engineer your own chess sets/pieces. Come dive in and fall in love with the world of science as told by your favorite book characters. Course will run Monday – Friday. NO Classes will be held on July 4th and 5th.

]]> Origami Students complete hands-on activities that teach about origami, an Asian paper-folding art form. From frogs to flowers to airplanes, this class will give students an introduction into the art of folding paper! Jewelry Design, learning basic jewelry terms and how to design basic jewelry. ‘Shrinky Dink’ designs to incorporate into window hangings, garland and additions to their jewelry—learning how to easily apply these techniques to consumable fast food left over items that can be recycled instead of thrown. Look closely at science of why things reduce down percentages by heating up, reading about paper cranes, etc. Course will run Monday – Friday. NO Classes will be held on July 4th and 5th.
