Animals around us

Are you curious about the animals that live in nature around us? Do you like learning about the science behind them, such as the life cycle of a frog? If so, this might be your class. Each day we will read and learn about animals as well as venture outdoors into the forest and near the pond to observe them. Bring an extra pair of shoes for the pond (rain boots or water shoes) and insect repellent to use as needed. This class is a 3 in 1 stop: Students can come for one, two or all three as classes are back to back in the same room.

Do you love learning about animals around the world? Come learn about different animals around the world and their environments that they call home. From the fish in the Coral reefs of Australia to the birds in the canopy of the Amazon Rainforest, we will read about them and do projects on these creatures. Come ready to be creative. This class is a 3 in 1 stop: Students can come for one, two or all three as classes are back to back in the same room.

Team Building / Cooperative Play

Do you enjoy working with others and have a competitive spirit? If so, come join us for a fun time. Students will do a variety of activities, both indoors (play games in the gym or playing board games) and outside (such as relay races or gaga ball). Emphasis will be on working together as a team, encouraging each other and having fun over winning. This class starts right after Under construction so that students can stay for 4 hours or just join this class for two hours after construction has ended.

Games with Reading & Math

Come practice reading and math skills in a fun way so you can stay fresh on skills. Learn to play go fish for letter sounds, play math war addition style, or play board games that practice sight words recognition. Some electronic games that review skills will also be played on Ipads for part of the class.

Under Construction

Do you love to build things? A hands-on class where students build different challenges they choose from various materials, from legos to popsicle sticks. A chance to be creative and try to see if you can build different challenges. Sign up for one class for two hours or both this an team building for 4 hours of back to back fun.

Preschool Pals – Summit

Students in Preschool during 2023-2024 school year.

Preschool Pals is for children that are entering kindergarten this fall. This course will help your pre-kindergartener make the transition into kindergarten. The program will include story time, art projects, and with outdoor and indoor play. Social activities will be the primary focus to help ensure a smooth transition into kindergarten. Classes will be held Monday- Friday, July 8th – August 2nd. Students may attend any one of the six locations offering the program.

Important: Your child MUST be entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2024 to be eligible for this course.

Kindercapers – Summit

Students in Kindergarten during 2023-2024 school year.

Kindercapers is a four-week summer program for children who have completed kindergarten.
This program will focus on summer themes, stories, and activities. It will also provide students with significant opportunities for dramatic play and active indoor and outdoor play. Literacy skills will be developed. Classes will be held Monday- Friday, July 8th – August 2nd. Students may attend any one of the six locations offering the program.

Elementary Reading & Math – Summit

Students in 1st-4th during 2023-2024 school year

Reading, Language Arts, and Math is a four-hour summer course open to all ability levels. The course reinforces skills from the previous school year and introduces new skills that the student will encounter in the next school year. Families must enroll children for the entire four weeks. Classes will be held Monday- Friday, July 8th – August 2nd. Students may attend any one of the six locations offering the program.

**5th graders will attend Reading and Math at the middle schools.**
