If you are interested in having lunch with your Dragon, please contact the front office to make a reservation.  Due to limited seating, reservations are necessary.  Reservations will be accepted on the morning of the lunch visit.

General Information

Bell Schedule

7:15 am- Doors open, tutorials begin
7:15-7:45 am -Breakfast
7:30 am - Students enter the classroom
7:45 am -Tardy bell, students should be in class, breakfast is not served after this time.
9:45 am- Attendance bell
2:15 pm- Changes of going home deadline
3:10 pm- Dismissal
3:30 pm- Late pick up (must sign out students from front office)

Daily

Check, sign, and return Expectation Folder.

Ask child what his or her favorite part of school was that day.  Ask what was one thing that he/she learned.

Read 20 minutes with your child. 

Practice number fluency that has been recommended by each grade level.

Review any homework that needs to be completed.

Weekly

Check Tuesday Folder for important information.  Return on Wednesday.

Read Tuesday Newsletter from classroom teacher. 

Read Bowie Blast for upcoming school information. 

 

DRESS CODE

Dress Code Expectations:

Starting with the 23-24 school year, Bowie Elementary will no longer follow a school uniform policy. Our campus will comply with the LCISD dress code, as outlined in the LCISD Elementary Student Handbook. 

Monday - Students are encouraged to wear a shirt/dress coordinating to this year's theme. Thursday - Students can support Navarro Middle School, George JH and Terry HS by wearing red. Friday - Bowie Spirit Day!

Expectativa de Vestimenta:

Comenzando con el año escolar 23-24, Bowie Elementary ya no seguirá una política de uniformes escolares. Nuestro campus cumplirá con el código de vestimenta de LCISD, como se describe en el Manual del estudiante de primaria de LCISD.

Lunes: se recomienda que los estudiantes usen una camisa o un vestido que combine con el tema de este año.

Jueves - Los estudiantes pueden apoyar a Navarro Middle School, George JH y Terry HS vistiéndose de rojo.

Viernes - ¡Día de Espíritu Bowie!

Bowie Blast

All parents that have entered their email address into Family Access will receive the Principal's Bowie Blast (newsletter) bi-monhly on Fridays.  If you need assistance with this, please contact the front office at 832-223-1200.  Teachers send home weekly grade level newsletters.
