Parent Square Notifications
Under General Announcements, you can select how often you want to receive notifications for posts. Select Off, Instant or Digest notifications. Off:no notifications about posts will be sent to you. Emergency Alerts and Notices will still be sent. School Alerts will still be sent if turned on.
Instant:you'll receive an email and/or text and/or an app notification every time a notice or message is sent.
Digest:you'll receive an email and/or text and/or an app notification once a day in the evening with all posts from that day.
The default setting is typically Digest, so that you receive all notices and post messages in one convenient notification once a day. All emergency notifications still come through instantly, and a school can override settings as needed for an urgent message. |

Announcement for Current PK Parents
Dear Parents and Guardians of Rising Kindergarten
In order to comply with Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements, all students entering Kindergarten are required to have the following immunizations (4-year-old boosters):
DTap Polio MMR
Varicella
Often, a child has received their immunizations, but we do not have a copy of their most updated immunization record here in the clinic. There are several students still needing these immunizations.
If your child has an updated immunization record, you may submit it directly to the e-mails listed below or drop it off at the front office.
If your child will be attending Lackland ISD during the 2025–2026 school year, you may have them vaccinated at your earliest convenience now, and bring or send proof before the end of this school year so we can update our records.
Students without proper documentation or a valid exemption form will not be allowed in class on the first day of school August 11, 2025, until we receive proof of the required immunizations.
If you have any questions, please call us at (210) 357-5040. Thank you for your support, Mrs. Erika Adams, RN

Congratulations to Stacey teacher Domini Joseph for winning this year's Trinity Teacher of the Year representing Lackland ISD for excellence in teaching!
"I'm so grateful for being recognized as a Trinity Prize recipient. Teaching and seeing my students settle into their careers has always been an amazing award, but being recognized and nominated by my coworkers made it so much sweeter. I accepted this award with mixed emotions, knowing that I will be taking a pause in my passion for teaching and pour into my own children. I'm excited to be completely present for my children but will always remember the feeling of supporting so many military children over the last ten years. I am constantly reminded that I am blessed and am so thankful."

How long have you attended Lackland ISD and where did you live previously?
I have been at Stacey since my freshman year. Before Texas, I lived in Ohio, Nevada, and Hawaii.
What are some of your favorite memories of going to school at Stacey?
I really enjoyed working on the yearbooks and being a manager for the volleyball and basketball teams. It was so much fun getting to see the yearbooks come together and spending time on the bus.
What was the biggest challenge of being the editor-in-chief of the yearbook?
As someone who can be very indecisive at times, I found it difficult to have the final say. Luckily, I had great friends and fellow staff members by my side, along with Mr. Keller, to help me make the tough decisions.
What is your favorite part of the 24-25 yearbook?
All the little details. The cover is very Taylor Swift eras forward, but something that surprisingly many people didn’t notice is that there is a song lyric on almost every page, along with corresponding fonts and colors.
How has being editor of the yearbook contributed to your school success?
Being the editor of the yearbook has taught me an abundance of things, including communication, copy editing, and overall leadership skills. This has translated to making me less stressed about public speaking as well as making me more confident in my abilities. What will you miss the most about going to school at Stacey?
I will miss all the relationships I’ve created here. Stacey has held so many of my favorite memories and has allowed me to meet such amazing people. I will miss the entire class of 2025, along with a few other students outside of my grade, and all of my teachers who have shown their constant support throughout these last four years. What are you going to major in when at Baylor? Elementary Education Thank you Gabby and good luck at the state UIL meet! |

Stacey Flashback: Marisa Arteaga
|
|
|
Marisa attended Lackland ISD from preK-3rd grades and then again from 8th-12th grades. She was in the Stacey class of 2020 and is a recent graduate of Texas State University. Her degree is in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology. What did you enjoy most about being at Stacey? I enjoyed traveling for sports with all my friends.
What club or sports did you participate in?
I played basketball 8th grade – 12th grade. 4 years of Varsity basketball and 3 years of Varsity volleyball and continued to play in college for Club and Intramural teams.
What do you miss most about Stacey? The thing I miss most about Stacey is seeing Coach (Davis) Joseph, Coach (Garcia) Sanchez, and Coach Flores every day.
How was your experience growing up as a military child?
The biggest lesson growing up as a military child was learning to embrace change and experiencing so many cultures through our travels but also getting to know people.
What do you like to do in your free time? I enjoy playing basketball or any other sports to keep me busy, but I also like to paint. Where did you go to college and what is your degree in? I just graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Communication Disorders and a Minor in Psychology. What are your plans now?
I got a job in a school where I will be working as a Speech Therapist. I’ll work for a couple of years and then I will pursue my master’s degree.
Any advice for current Stacey students?
Graduating during covid, my advice would be to cherish all your high school moments, especially senior festivities. You may not be friends with everyone in your class but do things together in your last year because those are the memories you’ll have forever. Thank you and congratulations Marisa! |
