Stay Safe! We Miss You!!! Admin Alley Lackland ISD Instructional Continuity Plan Posted Online
The Lackland Independent School District has launched an Instructional Continuity Plan web-page that details how the district will communicate with parents and students during a school closure which will include email, School Messenger, our web-page, and telephone when appropriate. It also details online communication phases that will be used in the event we must transition to online instruction for reasons such as the current pandemic. Content delivery is another segment of our plan that explains how instruction will be delivered. This section also discusses the process we will use for grading. The roles and responsibilities of parents, students and district staff are also detailed in our plan. It gives specific instructions on what we see as the role of everyone to ensure the success of students during online instruction. It is our hope that everyone will do their part to help make this plan a success. Finally, the plan addresses office hours for both the elementary and secondary campuses and includes office hours for our AVID tutors. The plan can be found at the following link: https://www.lacklandisd.net/departments/curriculum-and-instruction/instructional-continuity-plan-for-school-closure We encourage parents to contact your child’s teacher(s) and/or Principal if you are experiencing any issues with online instruction. We realize that these are difficult times, but please know we are here to support you in any way that we can. Please stay safe. Around the District Here's the next resource newsletter for our LISD families. This week we have a new set of tools to help balance distance learning, family scheduling at home, scholarship opportunities, rising anxiety, and all the digital resources coming your way. My goal in sharing a weekly resource newsletter, is to keep families up to date and better equipped with relevant tools during this time we are social distancing.

Stacey Yearbook Online Sales Extended! Last chance to order a Stacey Yearbook! Because the final on-campus sales drive was obviously cancelled, online sales have been extended until the end of April. The price is still $45. Here is the link: https://wpcgo.yearbookforever.com/Ksvzw Students will definitely want to remember the unusual year of 2020. Featuring a special ‘Facing COVID-19’ section!
The yearbook staff finished ‘The Aerie, Vol XXXIX’ on March 29th. Editor Sara Kinney (12) and her staff faced the enormous challenge of completing pages, finding pictures and editing pages from home without having the benefit of being on campus. Everyone had a hand in finishing the book; from teachers helping identify students for captions to coaches sending out requests to the track & golf teams for individual pictures. Special thanks to the Hassett, Scott, Ludwigsen and Murray families for their contributions.
Staff members include: (front row) Lynnae Doulder, Miranda Lincoln, Catie Traxler, Sara Kinney, Bella Evans, Charla Gloria, Sebastian Vargas (back row) Adviser Mr. Keller, Kelsey Traxler, Jack Macfarlane, Kamryn Thompson, Jacob Gamboa, Deyana Clark and Sam Gagnon.
The yearbooks will arrive in mid-May. Distribution details have yet to be determined. Contact Sara @ kinney.sara@lacklandisd.org or yearbook adviser Mr. Russell Keller @ keller.r@lacklandisd.net for more information. Stacey Junior/Senior High is participating in Virtual Spirit Weeks!
