Lackland ISD Shares Survey Results

Teachers & Staff Speak

Teachers and staff, thank you! You have taken the time and the opportunity to participate in the Panorama Survey and share your voice as members of the Lackland ISD learning organization since the spring of 2017. Below are the links for the collected data from Spring 2017 to this past Fall.

Lackland ISD Teachers and Staff from across the district can participate in the survey.  The survey solicits feedback related to teacher and staff-school relationships.  This survey measures Educating All Students, Feedback and Coaching, Professional Learning, School Climate, School Leadership, and Teaching Efficacy.  You are encouraged to review the results of teacher and staff survey and engage with your child’s teachers and campus personnel to support us in improvement efforts.

 Teacher Survey Spring 17' - Fall 19

In addition to the survey opportunities, teachers and staff were asked to provide specific feedback regarding two things our schools do well and two things we could do to improve.  Accolades shared were related to autonomy in the classroom and social opportunities for staff. Consistent communication is the area where growth is a welcomed opportunity.   While communication is happening, district and campus teams will begin conversations to determine the mechanism(s) that would support improved communication for all.  Our goal is to provide periodic updates regarding actions taken towards continuous improvement.

We share this information with you to enlist your continued engagement with the survey and our efforts towards excellence.  Please check back in subsequent weeks to see additional results.  We aim to invest more time and effort in areas that will positively impact our ability to fulfill our vision, mission, and beliefs as your school district.

Teacher Self-Care conference 2020

Lackland ISD recognizes the importance of balance in the lives of our teachers and staff.  We were super excited to provide them with an opportunity to learn self-care strategies with teachers throughout the nation at the Teacher Self-Care Conference in Houston. The conference offered sessions to support time and stress management, teachers as entrepreneurs, teacher advocacy and empowerment, and mindfulness. We hope that teachers who attended this experience will share these strategies with their peers.

Spirit Week: Eagle Pride

By: Sara Kinney, senior

With the varsity basketball game this Friday, spirit has soared in support of our teams. Students gave off tropical vibes on Monday for tourist day, but switched into their favorite jerseys to celebrate Tuesday’s sports day. Wednesday’s duo day had friends dressing up in matching clothes. Students showed off their out of this world looks on Thursday,  matching the theme of Saturday’s homecoming dance. As with tradition, Friday remained as the day for school colors giving students a very patriotic look for the end of the day pep rally. From dressing out to screaming cheers at the pep rally, the students of Stacey wish the basketball team good luck in their homecoming games.

Students explored how pollution in water effects the growth of plants. 5-2 students placed stalks of celery in colored water. After 4 days it was clear that the pollution represented by the food coloring had traveled up to the leaves of the stalks.
