Parent Square Notifications
Under General Announcements, you can select how often you want to receive notifications for posts. Select Off, Instant or Digest notifications. Off:no notifications about posts will be sent to you. Emergency Alerts and Notices will still be sent. School Alerts will still be sent if turned on.
Instant:you'll receive an email and/or text and/or an app notification every time a notice or message is sent.
Digest:you'll receive an email and/or text and/or an app notification once a day in the evening with all posts from that day.
The default setting is typically Digest, so that you receive all notices and post messages in one convenient notification once a day. All emergency notifications still come through instantly, and a school can override settings as needed for an urgent message. |

Announcement for Current PK Parents
Dear Parents and Guardians of Rising Kindergarten
In order to comply with Texas Minimum State Vaccine Requirements, all students entering Kindergarten are required to have the following immunizations (4-year-old boosters):
DTap Polio MMR
Varicella
Often, a child has received their immunizations, but we do not have a copy of their most updated immunization record here in the clinic. There are several students still needing these immunizations.
If your child has an updated immunization record, you may submit it directly to the e-mails listed below or drop it off at the front office.
If your child will be attending Lackland ISD during the 2025–2026 school year, you may have them vaccinated at your earliest convenience now, and bring or send proof before the end of this school year so we can update our records.
Students without proper documentation or a valid exemption form will not be allowed in class on the first day of school August 11, 2025, until we receive proof of the required immunizations.
If you have any questions, please call us at (210) 357-5040. Thank you for your support, Mrs. Erika Adams, RN

When and for how long did you attend Stacey?
I enrolled in Lackland ISD as early as elementary school and spent all four years of high school at Stacey Jr. Sr. High School.
Is there anything in particular that you enjoyed about going to school here? Theatre Tech was an amazing experience with Mr. Richard especially when we built one of the first if not the first two story set. Waking up early or running in the intense heat for Coach Smith built incredible character and huge mental toughness.
Playing basketball for Coach Flores and making a run in the State Tournament! What clubs or sports did you participate in? Cross Country – Varsity 4 years (regional qualifier) Track - Varsity 4 years (regional qualifier)
Basketball - Varsity 4 years (state qualifier) Theatre Tech – 2 years
Are you in touch with any of your friends from Stacey? I am still in contact with Tony Roach, Dylan Moton, Trae Geanes, Joel Ibarra, Nathaniel Contreras. I still attend open gyms every now and then with Coach Flores as well. Do you have any words of wisdom for the students here?
One day or day one, you decide (personal motto) Learn to be resilient, gritty and HOW TO HANDLE HARD Where did you go to college and what did you study? Mary’s University – San Antonio, TX
Bachelor of Arts - Mathematics & Minor Art Master of Science - Engineering Systems Management
What do you do now? Director of Nursing Admission for St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX. What do you like to do in your free time? I work out 5-6 times a week including basketball, play League of Legends, and love to go country two-step dancing Is there anything else you would like to add?
I was blessed to attend Stacey Jr./Sr. High School, where I learned the importance of accountability and taking ownership of my success. I was fortunate to have incredible mentors like Mr. Fernandez, Mr. Richard, Coach Smith, Coach Flores, and Mr. C. who played a key role in my growth and helped me transition smoothly into college and, eventually, my career. As a military brat in a small school environment, I developed a strong sense of adaptability, which inspired me to pursue higher education and, more importantly, give back to my community.
THANK You Gerardo! |

We hope that you had a relaxing and enjoyable spring break. As we move into April, we're getting closer to summer break and exciting vacations. However, before we reach that point, April brings several important events for our GT students.
Seventh and eighth grade GT students will be attending the annual Gifted Student Conference at Region 20. The LES Robotics Club will be hosting their first intermural competition on April 30th. There’s so much to look forward to — we hope you’ll join us!

| Multiple Perspectives
One key way we aim to foster critical thinking in our students is by encouraging them to consider multiple perspectives.
Multiple Perspectives asks students to consider how another person would think about a topic. By encouraging children to view issues or topics from different angles, we help them develop a well-rounded understanding of the world around them.
Sentence Starters for Multiple Perspectives:
How might a professional in the field view ____ differently from the average person?
What opposing opinions have been voiced about ____? |
