The bookmarks are highly coveted and the students love them!

Students vs. Faculty Basketball Match-Up

By: Jade Born

On April 11th, students, parents, and faculty all gathered in the gym to cheer on the Students vs.  Faculty game. The first half the game matched up the 7th and 8th-grade girls team versus the chosen female faculty members. The basketball girls won their half against the faculty by fighting through some interesting defense. For the halftime show, three people from the crowd were chosen to judge a dance competition between the 6th-grade dance team and more female faculty members cheer and competing in the game. Right after the game started back up with a tip between the 7th and 8th-grade boys basketball team and the male faculty members. The male faculty members would end up winning this half but not before Couch Gordon allowed all of the members of both boy’s teams on the court to play. At the end of the game, trophies were handed out to the teams that won against their intended match up and thus end another great yearly tradition of the students vs. the faculty.

¡Bots in Blue at Fiesta de Los Niños!

The Bots In Blue represented Stacey High School well as they marched in a parade with U.S. Representative Will Hurd and worked to inspire hundreds of young children to pursue STEM futures.

At the annual official Fiesta event held at Port San Antonio, the team manned an information booth and built a custom candy grabbing robot specifically for the event that the children were able to drive much to the delight of both the children and their parents.
