Each campus is disseminating the 2019-2020 School Report Card to the parents of enrolled students.  This report is required by the Texas Legislature and prepared by the Texas Education Agency. The report provides information concerning student performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®), as well as information on student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.

Due to COVID-19, STAAR® assessments were canceled for the 2019–20 school year. Therefore, several data points have not been updated, including STAAR® and academic growth data. The reports for our schools may or may not have all the information described because the information presented depends on whether the school is an elementary, middle, or high school. State law requires that the School Report Card display information about the state, the district, and the school. Where possible, the information must be reported by race/ethnicity and socioeconomic status of the students and must include at least two years of results.

The School Report Cards can be found online at https://tea.texas.gov/Student_Testing_and_Accountability/Accountability/State_Account ability/Performance_Reporting/School_Report_Cards.   A more complete report about each school, the Texas Academic Performance Report (TAPR), is available by contacting my office or can be accessed online at https://rptsvr1.tea.texas.gov/perfreport/tapr/index.html

A toast to the New Year 2021

by Stacey students!

Jaiden Culberson 12th

Before we begin to celebrate the ending of the worst possible year we have ever lived through...

Stop and embrace upon all of the memories and moments we have created.

Remember both the ups and downs we have faced,

our heaven and hell moments and add in the times filled with laughter and ones with hate.  Because that is what helps us grow.

Getting to understand a year many of us have deeply suffered upon helps us to do better in life. to lean on more of the right side than the wrong, to build a greater character amongst ourselves, to love more than hate, And to be blessed for every single thing that life gives us .

Start to learn and build from our past and create a better future, so when you think of 2021

Let’s remember about the horrific 2020, and let us do better as we recreate our paths.

Toast to 2021

Before we step into this new year, let us stop and take a second to appreciate the people we have around us today, to remember both the good and bad that happened this year, our hopes and dreams from this past year, the times when we thought the world was ending because that is how we should celebrate making it through 2020, getting a chance for a better year to do more, to love more, to grow more and to cherish more which will all start January 1st and continue through the year. So when we leave 2020 for good, let’s remember how this year shaped us to become better people and to continue to grow from there.

..............

Taylor Duchmare 10th

It’s officially 2021 but, before we progress let’s look back at the crazy year of 2020. When thinking of 2020 remember both the lonely and greater times. To the shortage of toilet paper, to the thousands of people who volunteered to take experimental vaccines. This year was tough and even though we were six feet apart, we gained a stronger sense of community. Let’s remember the times that we couldn’t spend with family so in years to come we cherish them even more. From the goals we had to put on hold, to the health care workers that stepped up to fight the battle on the frontlines. As this unpredictable pandemic , we keep in mind all the difficulties that we have overcome and the better things to come.

Badminton anyone!

Ruth Wakefield:  Chocolate chip cookies!!!

Chocolate chip cookies are the second most eaten cookie in the United States, just behind Oreo cookies.   Every day, millions of packages of chocolate chips are made in the United States.  The chocolate chip cookie began in 1930, at the Toll House Inn.  Ruth Wakefield, the co-owner, was making Butter Drop Do cookies when she noticed she was out of baker's chocolate, so she put in pieces of a semisweet chocolate bar instead.  Her guests loved the cookies and word spread to the Nestle Chocolate Company.  They made a deal with Ruth:  The Toll House recipe would be on their package, and she would get a lifetime supply of chocolate chips.

How sweet it is!!!!

If You Could Make An Extremely Loud Sound, Could It Travel Around The World In ONE DAY?

Sound can travel through the air at around 761 miles (1,217.6 kilometers) per hour, or 18,264 miles (29,393 kilometers) every day.  The Earth's circumference is 24,860 miles (40,008 kilometers) around the poles and 24,901 miles (40,075 kilometers) around the Equator, so the sound would travel about three-quarters of the way around the Earth.  If you were at the North Pole, you could make a HUMONGOUS sound that would travel south all of the way to the South Pole and then BACK to the Equator in ONE DAY!!!!!

If you could....would you...?
