The Keystone Oaks School District’s Spring Break will begin with an early dismissal on Thursday, April 17, 2025. The Keystone Oaks School District will be closed through Monday, April 21. Classes and regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
Please find below the early dismissal times for each building for Thursday, April 17, 2025:
Middle School and High School - 11:00 a.m.
Dormont Elementary School - 11:45 a.m.
Fred L. Aiken Elementary School - 11:45 a.m.
Myrtle Avenue Elementary School - 11:45 a.m.
Parkway West CTC students do not have classes on Thursday, April 17. Parkway students should arrive at Keystone Oaks High School by 9:10 a.m. for their 4th period class, which begins at 9:15 a.m. Students may arrive via their own transportation or they may take the bus closest to their home during the early AM run schedule; students who take the bus will report to the library until period 4.
Mon Valley School students also do not have classes on Thursday, April 17. Matthews Bus Company will provide transportation for Mon Valley School students, with an anticipated arrival at Keystone Oaks High School at 9:10 a.m. Matthews will be contacting these families directly with transportation times for April 17.
Free breakfast will be available; lunch is not served on early dismissal days. Also, please be reminded that attendance is recorded on early dismissal days, just as it is on regular school days. Students who are absent from school on Thursday, April 17, 2025 must turn in an excuse within three days or the absence will be marked as illegal. Illegal absences can lead to the procedures
outlined in the district's Attendance Policy being put into effect. Excuses can be emailed to the secretary in your child's school building (please see email addresses below), can be sent to school with your child on their next school day, or can be submitted through ParentSquare.
