We’ve made a long-term commitment to grow our own public educators in Kearney School District. It was time to harvest the results of that effort today as student-teachers Austin Bullock and Aidyn Foltz accepted full-time offers from Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources Zach McMains to join Team KSD!

Both of them graduated from Kearney High School with the Class of 2021. Austin is studying at Missouri State University and is currently placed in Beth Pickle’s second-grade class at Kearney Elementary. Aidyn is a Willliam Jewell College student and is supporting Southview Elementary first-grade teacher Jennifer Lavelle.

A team of Kearney High School scholars proved that they’ve got the right stuff during the 2023 Northland Job Olympics on Friday, April 14 at Pleasant Valley Church in Liberty.

“I’m always inspired by these students because of their work ethic and focus,” Ms. Vassmer said. “This is an amazing experience for all of us and I’m very, very proud of them!”
