KHS Baseball Takes Bronze at State

Kearney, Mo., June 5, 2024: The Kearney High School Baseball team earned the third-place trophy at the 2024 Missouri High School Activities Association’s Class 5 state championship tournament.

The Bulldogs defeated Ft. Zumwalt South High School 1-0 to earn the bronze on Saturday, June 1 in Ozark. Pitcher Bryce Page got the win with five strikeouts. Centerfielder Chase Porter got the lone run that earned the win.

KHS beat Webb City 5-0 in the tournament opener on May 25, and then lost 7-5 to Webster Groves on May 31 in the second round. The team finished the 2024 season with a record of 30-8.

Kearney, Mo., May 24, 2024: The Kearney High School Baseball team will face Webb City starting at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 25 at KHS in the quarterfinals of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Class 5 state tournament. Below are important details for fans who plan to attend this game.

Location: KHS baseball field (715 E. 19th St., Kearney, MO 64060)
Admission: Digital Tickets Only. All spectators ages 6 & up are $8 ($9.58 per ticket with the transaction fee). No passes or discounts will apply. SPECTATORS MUST PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE FOR THE BASEBALL QUARTERFINAL GAME. THERE WILL BE NO CASH TICKET SALES ON SITE.

Directions: Take Interstate 35 North, exit 25, go East, and in a half-mile the KHS Campus will be on your right.

Kearney Fans: Please enter from Meadowbrook Drive at the South Ticket Gate and have your digital tickets ready. Tickets will be scanned from your vehicle. Please see the event map.

Bulldog Baseball Hits Homer with Academic Honors

Kearney, Mo., May 16, 2024: Congratulations to the Kearney High School Baseball team for being recognized as the top Class 5 Academic All-State Team. The team had an average GPA of 3.65 and was ranked first in Class 5. Individual All-State team members were Kamp Cunningham, Trent Dostal, Easton Haggart, Eli Helberg, Jack Helberg, Garrett Hodge, Matthew Kinney, Chase Porter, Ivan Rinck, Joe Schranz, Garet Smith, and Cameron Webster.

KHS Baseball Wins Conference Championship

The Kearney High School Baseball team earned the 2023 Suburban Blue Conference championship with their 6-0 win over Raytown South High School on Friday, May 5! The Bulldogs currently have a 20-9 regular season record that includes a crucial win over a strong Smithville team on May 3. They finish regular season play at home against Raymore-Peculiar on May 15. KHS starts the Class 5 District 8 baseball tournament against East High School at 4 p.m. on May 17 at the Creekside Baseball Complex in Parkville.
