You can make a difference in
our students, staff and community by getting involved! Here are a few
areas we work in during the year:
Eagles Give Back Projects
This is our volunteer program that will give the kids and parents of
our school an opportunity to give back to the community this year.
It’s three times a month and done solely on a volunteer basis. You can
sign up for e-mails at

Eagle Snacks
This our year long fundraiser for PTO. Once a month we organize the
snacks per classroom for the month. It takes around an hour to
accomplish.
Canned Food Drive
We collect
canned goods in November for those in need. We have a contest between
classes on the amount of goods brought in during this time and need help
counting those items everyday for two weeks.
Teacher
Appreciation Luncheons
The staff at Kelsey Norman mean so much to the
students and parents. We love to treat them with lunches and baked
goods to show our appreciation for what they do all year long for our
kids.
Carnival
We start planning for our spring carnival in
January! It is a great night for our families and surrounding community
at Kelsey Norman and takes a lot of planning.

Decorating Committee
The kids love to see the school transformed for
carnival and it takes weeks before to get it all ready. With the help
of our parents this accomplished.
Bulletin Boards
This is a new
option for parents to come in and help out their teachers! It’s only
once every few months and helps them a great deal.
Room Parent
One parent from each class is responsible for organizing the three class parties we have a year.
Eagles Give Back Project
Each month
we have set up times for our students and parents to volunteer in our
community. These opportunities are as follows:
● First Monday of every month is a read-in at Spring River Christian Village from 6-7pm.
● Third Friday of every month we volunteer with Fostering Hope from 5:30-7 pm.
● Last Saturday of every month we pick up trash at Wildcat Glades from 9-11pm.
We want our kids to learn the lesson of giving back and the feeling of making a difference in your community.
Parent
Involvement Nights
Every month we have parent involvement nights that
center around reading and math. These are themed events that take
place at the school and are highly educational for the students and
parents.
Box Tops
You can clip box tops all year long and send them in with your student
to help support our school! All you need to do is send them in a
plastic bag to your child’s teacher and we take care of the rest.
Eagle Snacks
Parents can purchase Eagle Snacks for your child
each month, semester or the entire year. Each child that participates
will receive a snack each Friday we are in school.

Store
The school store is open every Friday before and after school.
We have everything from pencils, pens, notebooks, bookmarks, t-shirts
and more!
Chuck-e-Cheese Night
The first Friday of every
month is Chuck-e-Cheese night for Kelsey Norman. A percentage of the
money made that night goes to our school!
