The National Honor Society is the nation’s oldest, largest, and most prestigious student recognition program. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
- Sophomores with a cumulative GPA of 3.85 or higher after 1st semester will be invited to apply for membership for their junior year. Qualifying juniors who wish to become members for their senior year need to inquire with sponsors in January. Members are selected to apply and must have recommendations from their teachers.
- New members are inducted once a year, usually in April.
- Monthly meetings are held on Wednesday mornings.
- Members must maintain a 3.85 or higher cumulative GPA and attend meetings. Each student must complete 6 hours of community service and 2 hours of tutoring each semester.
