Visual & Performing Arts

Our wonderful PTA sponsors our Art Masters Program, which allows students to learn about artists, their lives, their famous works, and a bit of art history from a docent.  During the assembly, students are taken through a virtual museum to view the artist's works, while also learning art vocabulary and art elements.

Art Master teachers instruct the student's on the artist's technique.  Students receive a technique packet to further build background knowledge about the artist as well as practice the artist's technique prior to re-creating their own rendition of the artist's work.

Finally, Art Master's instructors teach students the technique with step-by-step direction.  Often in the same medium, style or subject matter as the master, the students discover their creativity while also developing confidence in their abilities.

Grades K-3 receive 30 minutes of vocal music & keyboarding "MIND Music" instruction each week for the school year. Grades 4-5 receive 45 minutes of keyboarding or vocal music instruction.  

Grade 5 has the option to join the school's Glee Club.
