The Keep Hopewell Beautiful Committee, along with the Hopewell-Prince George Chamber and Hopewell City Public Schools, are sponsoring an art contest for students. Students can enter the contest by returning their artwork and an entry form (you can print one from the website or get one from your art teacher) to their school's art teacher by February 12, 2025. Winners will be recognized at the fine arts festival on March 15, 2025.

Due to the impending weather, Hopewell City Public Schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, February 11th, for all students and staff. Please stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel as conditions may become hazardous.

This serves as a notice that there will be a Hopewell City School Board Meeting on Thursday, February 13th at 7:30pm. This meeting is open to the public.

Tonight’s Hopewell High School JV girls' basketball game against Colonial Heights has been canceled.
The Varsity game will still take place at 6:30 PM.

Do you sing, dance, rap, play an instrument, or have another unique talent to share? Then get ready for another year of The Hopewell’s Got Talent Show! The show will take place on February 21st at 7:00 PM. Auditions will take place Jan. 28th - 29th and February 3rd - 5th. Virtual audition submissions are due no later than 6:00 PM on February 7th. See the attached flyer to sign up for an audition date and time. Participation in the talent show is open to all Hopewell students, employees, and residents! Out of an abundance of caution for shaded neighborhood streets and extremely low temperatures, Hopewell City Public Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, January 23rd. Please use extra caution on your commute, as road conditions may still be slippery in some areas. Essential employees should report on time.

Due to hazardous road conditions and extremely low temperatures, Hopewell City Public Schools are closed today, Wednesday, January 22nd, for all students and staff. Essential employees should remain at home as well. Your supervisors will be in touch after we reassess the situation later today.
