Jason Weber – gbtps https://www.gbtps.org Green Brook Township Public Schools Thu, 31 Oct 2024 12:52:18 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=6.6.2 Summer EBT Program – Information and Application https://www.gbtps.org/summer-ebt-program-information-and-application/ Sun, 05 May 2024 17:31:08 +0000 https://www.gbtps.org/?p=36488808 Summer EBT is a new federal program to help families buy food for their school-aged children during the summer. Families will receive $120 for each eligible child to buy groceries during the summer. Children who receive Summer EBT benefits can still participate in other summer meal programs. Receiving benefits will not affect children’s or families’ immigration status.

In New Jersey, Summer EBT benefits will be loaded onto an EBT card and mailed to your home. If eligible, you can use the benefits to buy food like fruits, vegetables, meat, whole grains, and dairy at grocery stores, farmers’ markets, and other places that accept WIC or SNAP EBT benefits. Summer EBT is a convenient way for you to help your children thrive.

If your child is not automatically eligible through SNAP, TANF or Foster Care benefits and you did not complete and return a School Meals Application to your child’s school, but believe your child may qualify, you are encouraged to complete a School Meals Application and submit it to your local school district no later than May 20, 2024, to see if you qualify for the Federal Summer EBT benefit prior to the start of summer.

Lunch applications can be found at https://www.gbtps.org/food-services-online-payment-for-school-lunches, picked up in the school office, or completed online in the Genesis Parent Portal.

See the attached notices for more information.

Q: If my child already qualifies for free or reduced lunch, do I need to re-apply?
A: No, students who are already on a federal free or reduced status will qualify for the program. If your situation has changed, or if you have not applied and wish to see if you qualify, then please fill out an application by May 20, 2024.

2024-2025 Registration is Now Open https://www.gbtps.org/new-student-registration/ Thu, 01 Feb 2024 17:00:09 +0000 https://www.gbtps.org/?p=14862 Registration is now open for students entering Green Brook Township Schools in the Fall of 2024. The online registration form can be found at https://www.gbtps.org/student-registration/

Please note the following:

  • Newly-arrived students who will be enrolling for this current school year (2023-24) will use the form linked above. Just select the 2023-24 school year in the form rather than 2024-25.
  • Returning students (those who attended during the 2023-24 school year) DO NOT re-register for 2024-25. Registration is just for new enrollees.
  • Students enrolling in high school who are NOT currently enrolled at GBMS will register using the Green Brook Township WHRHS registration form.
  • Preschool students who will be advancing to kindergarten DO NOT re-register. If your child is a preschool student and a Green Brook resident, and they will turn 5 by October 31, 2024, then they will be automatically rolled into the 2023-24 kindergarten class.
  • Preschool students who will be returning for a second year of preschool do not need to fill out the registration form again. You will be contacted with a deadline for confirming your child’s return to preschool and making a deposit to hold the spot.
  • New preschool registrants will need to fill out the online registration linked at the top of this message. Note that since preschool seating is extremely limited, new enrollments will be handled on a rolling first-come basis. When and if a space is available, parents will be notified and given a deadline for returning the tuition contract and deposit.
  • Additional information about preschool can be found at https://www.gbtps.org/preschool-registration-information/.
  • If you registered your child under the 2023-24 school year (prior to this 2024-25 registration opening), but meant it for 2024-25, you will need to redo the registration for the proper year.

Preschool Registration Information https://www.gbtps.org/preschool-registration-information/ Mon, 30 Jan 2023 17:00:05 +0000 https://www.gbtps.org/?p=8007 Green Brook Township Public Schools Preschool Program

Who we are

Our preschool program serves students at all stages of development, ages 3 to 5 and is open to both Green Brook residents and non-residents of surrounding areas.  We use the state-approved Creative Curriculum to address language, social-emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Classes are taught by experienced certified teachers who address both general and special education needs.

Our full-day preschool program offers our youngest learners the opportunity to acclimate to the school setting in a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment while fostering the foundational skills they will need to be successful.

Schedule

In addition to the curriculum, students in the GBTPS preschool program receive exposure to related arts, such as art and physical education.  Because it is a full-day program, time is also provided for rest. School hours are 9:00 am to 3:45 pm.

Enrollment information

There are limited openings available and please note that your child must be potty trained prior to beginning the program. Please register here (note: registration for the upcoming year will not be live until February 1). Current students who remain preschool-age next year will be contacted to confirm re-enrollment.

Registration is accepted throughout the school year or until the program is full.  Applicants who submit registration after all openings have been filled will be placed on a waiting list.

Pricing & Transportation

Green Brook Township Public Schools offers competitive pricing for preschool. Tuition is $900.00 per month with the first payment due with your contract. Checks are made out to “Green Brook Township Public Schools”. Transportation is included for Green Brook Township residents.
