OSSAA Class 2A Regional Track Meet

The Gore Pirates track team competed in the OSSAA Class 2A Regional at Okemah Saturday, April 30th. The team competed against 32 other teams in the region. The top three finishers in each event automatically qualify for the state track meet at Catoosa May 6th/7th. 

State Qualifiers include :

-Boys 3200m relay team finishing 3^rd at regionals includes Ty Bliss, Aidan Dickerson, Christian O’Connor and Journey Shells.

-Ty Bliss who placed 1^st in the 3200m and 1600m run and 3^rd in the 800m run.

-Liam Edwards who placed 2nd in the 300m hurdles.

-Hallie Kinion who placed 3^rd in the 3200m run

-Ralea Brooksher who placed 3^rd in the 100m dash

There is a chance for some of our 4^th place finisher to receive an at large spot at state which include:

-Hallie Kinion in the 1600m run

-Ralea Brooksher in the 200m dash

-1600m relay team of Liam Edwards, Aidan Dickerson, Christian O’Connor and Journey Shells

- 400m relay team of Zane Craighead, Noah Cooper, Blue Steward, Gunner Dozier and Liam Edwards

- 800m relay team of Zane Craighead, Noah Cooper, Blue Steward, Gunner Dozier

Others who received a medal at regional include-

-Liam Edwards 5^th in the110 Hurdles

-Blue Steward 7^th in 200m dash
