The Joseph Henry Elementary School Odyssey of the Mind Team won first place in the Spontaneous competition (where they engage 'in the moment' with a verbal problem given to them by a team of judges) and second place Overall at the NYS tournament in Syracuse last weekend!!
Because of this amazing success, the team has been invited to compete in the OM World Finals in Iowa on May 25-28, 2022!!!

The Galway HS Team came in 4th place overall. The students did an amazing job and demonstrated that the work happening in the Galway CSD OM program is some of the best in the state.
This will be the first time an Odyssey of the Mind Team from Galway will be competing in the World Finals since the Galway High School Team in 1995!
The team is VERY excited. With this big trip, there comes an expensive price tag.
The team has started a GoFundMe to help cover the considerable transportation, housing and tournament costs. Every little bit helps these hard working kiddos! Please help and share so that we can get this amazing team to Iowa!
