Galway Central School District is pleased to offer high school students a new sports and entertainment marketing class as part of its offerings in business.
Mrs. Sitts teaches the class and arranges for meaningful trips to popular venues that are almost in our back yard.
The class recently visited the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown to learn about the marketing that goes into running an independent, non-profit educational institution. They learned how the museum collects, preserves, exhibits, and interprets its collections for a global audience and honors people who have made outstanding contributions to the game.
They also toured MetLife Stadium to hear from executives from the Jets National Football League (NFL) Team. Students toured the stadium, stepped onto the field, and saw suites and "club rooms" that “offer the ultimate entertainment experience” and include VIP parking, private entrance and lobby, private restrooms, multiple HD tvs, wet bar, and refrigerator.
