Elmira High School is pleased to announce the return of our summer Strong Start program. This is a free four day program designed to give incoming 9th graders a jump start on their high school experience. It is lead by Mrs. Krin Hunt a math teacher at Elmira and several student mentors who will guide the students through a variety of lessons and fun activities geared to help make the transition to high school happen smoothly. The dates for Strong Start are August 5-8 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Please look at the attached flyer for additional details.
EHS will be conducting final exams on June 17 and 18. Please refer to the attached schedule for more details.
Elmira High School will hold its 105th Commencement Exercises on Friday, June 7th at 7:00 PM in the main gymnasium. Please join us that evening as we say good bye to another great group of seniors.

Elmira High School’s Annual 8th Grade Fly Up is Thursday, May 30th. The evening will begin with a BBQ dinner in the cafeteria at 6:30, at 7:00 we will have separate presentations for parents and students. Please see the attached flyer for additional information. We hope that you can join us on May 30th to learn about all of the great things EHS has to offer.
Elmira High School will be holding it’s annual awards night on Wednesday, May 29th at 7:00 PM in the main gym. Please join us that evening to celebrate the many accomplishments of our students.
Elmira High School will not be in session from May 24-27 for a teacher work day and the Memorial Day Holiday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 28th.
Please join the EHS choir and band for our spring concert on Monday, May 20th at 7:00 PM in the auxiliary gym.
Elmira is hosting Newport in a play-in softball game on Friday, May 17 at 4:30 PM. We are required to charge for admission for any play-in contests. The following admission fees will apply for Friday’s game:
Adults – $8.00
Students – $5.00
These fees apply to all students and there are no discounts for seniors. No passes except the OSAA Gold Card will be accepted.
The Elmira High School Spring Blood Drive is May 15, 2019 from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the auxiliary gym. Anyone is welcome to donate and you can sign up with any National Honor Society student, by e-mailing Mrs. Hunt at khunt@fernridge.k12.or.us or on-line at http://redcross.org
