Good question. Yes it would. However, last week ODE along with the Governor halted all enrollment in online schools. Virtual/online schools are not allowed to enroll new students at this time. Enrollment in online schools will resume, once the school closure ends. If more information comes out on this, I will try to share it here.

Hello, I would never say NEVER, but I see no scenario where this occurs. However, in most cases, “holding a child back” is something the district makes as a recommendation to parents, but we let the final decision rest with the parent. This year, I could see the number of recommendations going up…but it is too early to tell. Regardless, it will be a conversation between teachers, parents and administrators with the final decision resting with the parent if they want to pursue that option. Good question.
