The Alabama Virtual Library provides all students, teachers, and citizens of the State of Alabama with online access to essential library and information resources. It is primarily a group of online databases that have magazine, journal, and newspaper articles for research.

The site allows users to browse the public library collection. Ebooks are available to patrons with a library card through the "Overdrive" tab.

Homework Alabama offers FREE online tutoring and academic resources from Tutor.com for Alabama residents. Get help in math, science, English, social studies or writing from a live tutor. Tutors are available 3p.m. - 10 p.m., seven days per week. The services can be accessed from an Alabama public library, from your home computer or from your mobile device.

Through the DeKalb County Public Library, students can access the free ACT, SAT, and other test prep resources. The site contains dozens of free online practice tests and gives instant feedback and individual scores. 

Purdue's OWL MLA Formatting and Style Guide

A website for book recommendations! Search by genre, titles, or author. You can browse latest suggested book titles or featured recommendations. 

This educational website is perfect for teachers and students. According to the site: "There are user-defined lesson-plan searches that can be customized and filtered five different ways, and there is direct access to student resources and interactives from the homepage."

Need help with grammar? Quick and Dirty Tips offers real-life grammar advice and answers those tough grammar questions. 

This site is designed for English Language Learners. You will discover a variety of lessons and tutorials beginning with pronunciation, grammar points, vocabulary, writing, punctuation, and slang. You can work through a series chronologically and build from one lesson into the next. You can also view individual lessons.

Career information includes the following: job duties, pay, educational requirements, training, work environment, statistics, expectations, and other jobs that are similar in nature.
