Muffins with Mom

When and where is it?
Wednesday, May 1st , 2024 between 7:40-8:30 am in the courtyard.

What if Mom can’t come?
That’s okay! Send Grandma, Aunt, big sister, family friend, or any other female figure in the child’s life.

How do I RSVP?
You must have a ticket to receive a muffin during our event. You can get tickets for you and the student starting Wednesday, April 17th and ending Wednesday, April 24th. Get your tickets from Mrs. Coy at the front desk. The ticket is free, but required.

Should I bring anything?
Your event tickets and a blanket to enjoy your muffins and time together on the courtyard lawn. You could also bring a book, if you would like to read together that morning. It can be your child’s favorite book at home or a new book.

This event is a come and go event for you and your child/children. After you have finished your muffins and read your book, your student will join their class using their regular entry points. All students need to be in class before 8:30 am.

Yearbook Sales and Love Notes

YEARBOOK SALES - Yearbook sales have started! You can order online only now through February 23,
2024. The cost for this softcover yearbook is $25. To order, go to inter-state.com/order and enter code
81847C.
LOVE NOTES - Love notes are short but sweet messages published in the back of the yearbook and are
accompanied by a picture. You get the message and one picture for $6.00. You can include more
pictures for $6.00 each (up to 4 pictures). Please email your picture and note to
[email protected] by December 6, 2023. Please note: incomplete orders will not be
accepted. Send the fee (cash or check) on the same day you send your email. Put the fee in a baggie or
envelope labeled “love note” and send with your child. *** DUE TO LIMITED SPACE IN THE YEARBOOK,
WE ASK THAT ONLY 4 TOTAL PICTURES BE SENT FOR EACH CHILD. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE MULTIPLE
ORDERS FROM MOM, DAD, GRANDMA, UNCLES, ETC.***

Updated Arrival/Dismissal Procedures

Dear FMS Families:

Fall Break is upon us, and we had an amazing time at our Bingo night put on by our PTO. I wanted to reach out and give you some updates about our arrival/dismissal procedures when we return from Fall Break. Things will change as we will be starting classes in our new state of the art Saferoom/Early Childhood Center for grades P3, PK, and Kindergarten.

Click on the blue link above "Updated Arrival/Dismissal Procedures" to see a breakdown of the changes, but please pay attention to the major differences moving forward. (1). ECC students (P3, PK, and KG are morning drive-up ONLY). There is no walk-up for ECC students in the mornings. This is a safety procedure for the time being. There is after school dismissal walk-up for ECC students at the breezeway library door where 1st grade was. (2). 1st grade arrival and dismissal walk-up are being moved to Mrs. Crow’s old room side door on the east of the building. This is their future classrooms and ECC is using the library now. Please read the overview carefully and reach out or ask a staff member if you have any questions.

If an ECC student is tardy or coming in from an appt, they must check in with Mrs. Coy BEFORE they go the new building to drop their student off. It is the only way for entrance to the building.

We will work through these changes together as we continue to progress and modernize our educational experience at FMS. Still the best….Not like the rest!!
Clever Family Portal

Clever Family Portal

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we have started using Clever this year. Clever is an online "hub" that holds all of your student's commonly used school websites, and their passwords. The point of this is to make things a bit easier on students, parents, and teachers. They will no longer need to keep up multiple usernames and passwords. Recently, all students have had to keep up with is their QR code. Now, to make things even easier on parents and students, we have sent you an invite to join the family portal by Clever. This tool will make it possible for students to sign into clever without their QR codes. Signing up is easy, just click on the link you were sent, via text or email, and follow the steps. Students will also be bringing home a "how to" flyer, which is also included here...just click above!
