Prepare your students for STATE TESTING
State Testing Dates
March 26 & 27: Az Science (8th Grade Only)
April 1 & 2: AASA Writing (All Grades)
April 8: Reading Part 1 (All Grades)
April 9: Math Part 1 (All Grades)
April 15: Reading Part 2 (All Grades)
April 16: Math Part 2 (All Grades)
Please mark these dates on your calendar to avoid scheduling doctor appointments or other commitments on these days. Our goal is to have all students present for testing.
Here are some important reminders:
- Ensure your student gets a full night's rest before each test (8-10 hours is ideal)
- Provide a nutritious breakfast that includes protein, whole grains, and healthy fats to maintain steady energy levels. (Breakfast is provided at school)
- Ensure your student arrives at school on time at 7:50 am or early to reduce stress and settle in before testing begins.
- Encourage your students to wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather and classroom conditions; a light jacket may be useful if the testing environment is cool.
- Help your student understand the importance of the AASA testing without adding unnecessary pressure. Emphasize that doing their best is the primary goal.
- Stay informed about test dates, times, and policies by maintaining communication with teachers or school staff.
- Once students start testing, they cannot be pulled for any reason.
