8th Grade Students Welcome
Four Congressional Medal of Honor Recipients
8th grade students of Fairfield Middle School had the wonderful opportunity to meet four Medal of Honor Recipients on September 20th, 2013; Robert Maxwell (WWII); Thomas Hudner (Korea); Donald Ballard (Korea); Ronald Rosser (Vietnam). Students greeted the recipients with a patriotic welcome, where a guitar ensemble and jazz band played patriotic tunes. Each of the recipients delivered inspirational messages to the students that included the importance of making the right choices and making the best out of their education. Students then had an opportunity to ask the recipients questions about their life experiences. It was truly an honor to have such esteemed guests visit with the eighth graders.
