3rd grade students received brand new student edition Webster's dictionaries from the Gettysburg Rotary Club. Mr. Eric Gladhill, a Fairfield alumnus, demonstrated how to use a dictionary by having the students look up the word "beneficial" and discussing the word's meaning. Ruthie Karstetter was the first student to locate the word. The students were then asked, "what are some benefits of using a dictionary?" One boy answered, "a dictionary doesn't waste electricity." Fairfield Area School District would like to thank the Gettysburg Rotary Club for their generosity and time.
