Former Fairfield student, Kailie Patterson, visits Mrs. Armstrong's 2nd grade class to thank them for their letters of support that she received while serving in Afghanistan.  The students presented Kailie with a bouquet of orange flowers.  Through their correspondence, the students discovered that orange was Kailie's favorite color.   Kailie sat down with the class and answered their many questions about her job in the Navy and what it was like to live in Afghanistan.  Kailie will be stationed in Gulfport, Mississippi for about a year before being deployed to Africa or Spain.  While she is back in the states, she plans on trying out for the United States soccer team.
