Each month the Collinsville High School faculty honors a fellow faculty member with the “Faculty Member of the Month” designation.  Here is a running list of those honored during the 2021-22 school year:

Claudia Gramaglia CHS The September Faculty Member of the Month can be found in her Guidance Department Office working hard each and every day.  She works diligently translating documents, answering parent questions and helping our ELL students and their families navigate our school system.  She is kind, shows amazing patience and is a true guiding light to those that need special help and attention.  As her nominator wrote, “She gives her whole heart and attention to those who need help with things that so many others take for granted in this world.”  For all of these reasons we proudly name Ms. Claudia Gramaglia the September Faculty Member of the Month!

M Nichols 2021The November Faculty Member of the Month once walked these halls as a student at CHS.  He returned to CHS several years ago and joined the Math Department and has become a student and faculty favorite.  His nominators wrote, “He is an outstanding educator and leader.  This year, as a part of the MAP task force, he is creating math intervention strategies based on MAP data for our learning strategies classes and also on an equally important mission to reduce the failure rate in our math courses.  One strategy that he’s succeeding at is getting our students 200 IXL licenses which we will begin distributing soon. He is positively impacting our kids struggling with math skills.  He is entering the Learning Strategies classes daily and teaching basic and algebraic math skills based on student needs.  He is also pulling failing students from PE and helping them to complete missing assignments.” For all of these reasons, we name Mr. Mike Nichols the November Faculty Member of the Month!  Congratulations Mike!

Kim Ferrero CHS The December Faculty Member of the Month has been a dedicated educational assistant for over two decades at Collinsville High School.  She has raised an amazing CHS graduate and mentored hundreds of others along the way.  Her nominators wrote, “She is here bright and early every morning before most others.  She prepares for the day and helps and assists others in her department.  She has an open heart, is a shoulder to lean on, is very generous and has a wonderful way of connecting with her students.  She may think her work goes unnoticed most days, but she is wrong.  She is more appreciated and loved than she will ever know.”  For all of these reasons, Mrs. Kim Ferrero is the December Faculty Member of the Month!

Miranda Rogers CHS 21-22The CHS January Faculty Member of the Month is a long time Kahok that not only works at CHS but is also a graduate.  She is here everyday before the sunrises and is oftentimes the first faculty member in the parking lot.  She helps secure our campus each and every day and is called at a moment’s notice to help in situations that need extra attention.  Regardless of the weather she is out in the parking lot directing traffic and always does these tasks with a smile on her face and a kind word for everyone she comes in contact with.  For the appreciation we have for all of her hard work, we name Miranda Rogers the January Faculty Member of the Month!

Micki Fedorchak CHS Social WorkThe February Faculty Member of the Month has been a guiding light in the main office for several years.  She has a contagious positive spirit that is welcoming to all.  Her nominators wrote, “She is willing to go the extra mile for every single student that enters her office.  Her big heart allows her to reach students that many others do not have luck with.  Her training in all matters of SEL (Social Emotional Learning) makes her an expert in the field after a lifetime of social work and her implementation of those skills  with students and teachers alike is truly inspiring.  She is always willing to give of herself no matter what the case or situation entails.  If you are looking for a compassionate and caring educator, all trails lead to her.”  Congratulations to the February Faculty Member of the Month, Mrs. Micki Fedorchak!
The March Faculty Member of the Month has called CHS home for the last few years.  He has had an immediate and profound impact on the students at CHS every since his arrival.  His nominators wrote, “He takes great time and care with all of the students that enter his room.  He fosters strong bonds and relationships with each of his students.  They trust him and admire him because they know he will give them his absolute best each and every day.  He puts his heart and soul into the ELL program at CHS and our program is great because he is actively involved with its implementation and design.  We are lucky to have him here at CHS.”  For all of these reasons we proudly name Mr. Brian Glanville the March Faculty Member of the Month!
