MAC & KIDS is a multicultural club whose goal is to promote awareness, understanding, and acceptance of cultural diversity. The club provides the opportunity to become more familiar with our diverse community at Fort Washington. Involvement in MAC & KIDS helps develop self-esteem and pride in one’s own heritage.

MAC & KIDS members should be devoted to learning about the customs, beliefs, and foods that are unique to different cultures. Our group will organize events throughout the school year so we may educate our school community about different cultures.

Membership is free and open to all students and families wanting to learn and share. A specific culture is celebrated at each meeting by providing parents with stimulating discussion, while the children engage in a fun activity. Food related to that ethnic culture is brought by participants and often shared by all.
