The Fresno County Department of Public Works and Planning released the following construction notice that will impact roads in the Clovis East and Clovis South areas:
Offsite improvements for streets impacted by the Terry Bradley Education Center (TBEC) development, located at the intersection of Highland and Clinton Avenues, are set to begin on September 9, 2024. Please watch for "Road Closure" and "Detour" signs in the areas below.
The streets affected include Shields Avenue, McKinley Avenue, Leonard Avenue, and Highland Avenue, all situated near the TBEC site. These infrastructure enhancements will be managed by the County of Fresno, in collaboration with the City of Fresno, the City of Clovis, the Fresno Metropolitan Flood Control District (FMFCD), and the Fresno Irrigation District (FID).
The improvements will be executed in phases, starting at the intersection of Locan Avenue and Shields Avenue, and progressing eastward along Shields Avenue. Subsequent phases will address improvements along McKinley Avenue, Leonard Avenue, and Highland Avenue. The overall boundary for these offsite improvements extends from Shields Avenue to the north, McKinley Avenue to the south, Locan Avenue to the west, and Highland Avenue to the east.
