Dear Families,
As we step into May, we are excited to conclude the academic year with a focus on continuous learning and positive experiences for our Gophers. Here are some important updates and events:
1. Wet Field Day: Our annual Wet Field Day is just around the corner! On May 20th, 21st, and 22nd, we’ll come together as a school community to enjoy fun outdoor activities. Let’s celebrate the end of an awesome school year!
2. School Advisory Council Meeting: Our final PTO and SAC meetings will take place on May 8th at 4:15/4:45 PM. Your participation is crucial as we reflect on this year’s achievements and discuss plans for the upcoming year. Join us to contribute your valuable ideas!
3. 5th Grade Graduation: On May 28th, in the afternoon, we will honor our graduating 5th grade class. Families of our 5th grade students are cordially invited to join us in celebrating their accomplishments. It’s a momentous occasion, and we look forward to sharing it with you.
4. Assessment Season: During the month of May, our students will take their end-of-year assessments. Dates and times will be shared by your child’s teacher. Please ensure your child gets plenty of rest the night(s) before testing and encourage them to do their personal best!
5. Summer Recommendations: As we transition into summer break, consider incorporating the following into your daily routine:
· Reading: Spend quality time reading with your child. Whether it’s a captivating story or an educational book, reading together fosters a love for learning.
· Math Practice: Encourage your child to practice math facts. Fun games or simple exercises can help reinforce their skills.
Family Bonding: Use the summer months to create lasting memories. Whether it’s a picnic, a nature walk, or a family game night, cherish these moments together.
The entire Rock Crusher Family wishes you a safe and joyous summer!
Sincerely,

Amanda Haynes
