In Knowledge 4 of the Amplify pilot, students in Ms. Loney's kindergarten class have been learning all about plants. They recently learned about how honey bees play a big role in pollination to help more seeds/flowers grow. Students did a pollination experiment where students each had a “bee” and flew around the room to different flowers, picked up the “pollen”, (crushed froot loops), and carried it to other flowers. At the end of the simulation they saw all of the different colors of pollen in the flowers and understood the importance of honeybees and pollination even more!
