Since 2006, Adela Salazar has been dedicated to her job in various lunchrooms across District 99, serving breakfast and lunch to tens of thousands of students. 

At this month's Board of Education meeting, Salazar, who now serves as the interim lunchroom hostess at Warren Park Elementary School, was recognized by the District as "D99's Very Own" for her outstanding dedication to her work and strong camaraderie with students, families and staff.
