ExxonMobil, Unity celebrate annual donation which funds STEAM initiatives

For more than 15 years, Cicero District 99 has been proud to call ExxonMobil a valued community partner, thanks in large part to the corporation’s monetary support toward the District’s STEAM-based curricular initiatives.

And on Tuesday, Dec. 5, Superintendent Dr. Aldo Calderin and Unity Junior High School Principal Heather Mathis were joined by ExxonMobil Cicero lubricants plant leaders who presented the school a check for $3,500.

Over the years, ExxonMobil’s monetary support has helped sustain five different robotics club divisions at Unity (with funds used to provide materials competition entrance fees, and supply the robotics room with necessary materials), guest speakers for the District’s career days and assistance with other Unity STEAM programs and initiatives.

Thank you, ExxonMobil, for your ongoing support!
