During the month of March, students at Sherlock School have voted for their favorite award-nominated books. The books included in the tournament bracket are from the Illinois' Monarch Award, Bluestem Award, and Caudill Award lists. Each day, students listened to two books or summaries recorded by teachers and then chose between the two books. One of the books advanced to the Elite 8, Final Four, and championship rounds. The winning book for prekindergarten through 3rd grades was "Are You a Cheeseburger!?" The winning book for 4th through 6th grades was "Becoming Muhammad Ali."
