Showing off their grit: Columbus East student growth celebrated at Winners Circle Awards

On Wednesday, Feb. 14, love was all around at Columbus East Elementary School, as administrators, staff and parents celebrated fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students who met or exceeded their RIT growth goals on either their Winter MAP Math exam or ELA test, and students who met or exceeded their 62% typical yearly growth goal on the Winter iReady Math Diagnostic.

Called the Winners Circle Awards, Principal Donata Heppner and Assistant Principal Chris VanderKuyl presented students with certificates of merit and invited students and their family members in attendance to stop for a photo with the school's Colt mascot!

Congratulations to all student winners on a job well done. After all, "We have grit, we won't quit, we are Colts!"
