The excitement is in the air as Cicero District 99 kicks off another amazing school year on Wednesday, Aug. 14!

From the bright smiles at drop-off to the eager energy in classrooms, the first day of school is always a special time to start fresh, learn new things and make new friends. Our teachers and staff have worked hard to create a warm, welcoming environment where every student feels valued and ready to succeed!

On Wednesday, D99 also stood together as a community, wearing our "Avanzamos Juntos" T-shirts to honor and dedicate this day to the memory of Columbus East music teacher, Ashley Stopczynski, who was taken away from us way too soon this past Saturday after sustaining injuries in a vehicle accident. Ashley's passion for music and theater, and her dedication to her students will always be remembered. D99 is united in its commitment to carry her spirit forward as we embrace the new school year.
